On Sept. 27 2008 was opening day of bow season in the Texas Hill Country. On that morning it was extremely warm, and my hopes of killing a nice mature buck was not in high spirits. But as the sun cracked over the horizon, there he was coming down from a bluff followed by two other bucks. As he walked in to bow range i knew he was a nice 4.5 to 5.5 year old buck. With one well placed shot, he only ran maybe 70yrds and expired.
