I went to my first 3D archery shoot yesterday 2/26/12 and shot a 247 out of a possible 300. I think I did well for only practicing for 2 months. I had a blast with the group I went with and was amazed how friendly everyone was. I had a blast and was really surprised how well I did. they group I went with all had Mathews Z7s or Monsters. I had told them I was upgrading to a Mission Riot and they were all saying I should get into a Mathews Z7 extreme. That I would regret it if I didnt. What do yall think????

I have shot the Mission Riot , Venture and Voyager XT. The Voyager is almost the exact same as the Z7 but it’s almost half the price! The Monster is a very fast bow along with any of the duel cam PSE bows ( I owned a PSE XForce prior to my voyager). My voyager is one of the smoothest, most accurate bows I shot. I Just purchased a Riot for my fiance and it has been everything I expected and more. In my opinion I would stick with the mission. You could always head to the bow shop and test shoot any of the bows. Bob – OAM
Thanks Bob, I’m going to look at the Voyager and see how I do with it . . . I did shoot a Drenalin that I fell in love with and the owner only wants $400 stripped down. I have my Riot on lay-a-way and can use the money I have down on it for any other purchase. I’m a bit undecisive and just want to get the right bow for me and for the next 5yrs or so. i want to make the right purchase for the long haul.
One important thing to think about is that the lifetime warranty is only offered to the original buyer, so you won’t be getting that with the Drenalin. Other than that, you definitely can’t go wrong with a Mathews or a Mission. It all comes down to personal preference and budget. The Riot is going to give you adjustability, so you can always pass it down to a son/daughter/buddy when you’re ready to upgrade, but if you have the budget to go all the way for a Mathews Heli-m….go for it man!
MAN!!! That Heli-m is a MAD MAN!!! Quiet, Swift, and DEADLY!!! If I could afford it I would get one too!!!! I’m still shopping around and SHOOTING them ALL. Now that I know what I’m looking for it’s a little easier to weed out the rest. I’m competing at a lot of 3D shoots and doing well for my experience and skill level. So, I’m looking for a bow that will help me be a little more competative mean while I keep working on my skill level and ofcourse for the upcoming deer season, lol.
